Larry's "Family Gathering" April 18, 2024 Recording

Right now, there's lots of room for a downside in the market. Do we really want a rate cut?

In this video, Larry talks about past interest rate cuts from the Fed, and what happens to stock prices as a result. Historically, we've seen these cuts trigger a bear market, and that is very much a possibility here.

Larry then talks about the return of inflation, explaining why it's happening. With oil, gas, and copper all rising, and inflation following right behind them, Larry concludes that we're not likely to see a rate cut. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) both indicate that inflation is likely to spread broadly; keep that in mind in your investing right now.

As for the immediate future, Larry's looking to the bond market. We're likely to see the Gold decline coming back up. Larry talks cycle projections for NASDAQ, the Dow, and the S&P E-minis. He also gives his opinion on stocks like Google, Eli Lilly, and IBM, and speculates that a short-term buy point is coming.

Larry wraps up with a half-hour of viewer-submitted Q&A covering a wide variety of market topics.
